1. Are underwater cameras allowed?
Yes.  Underwater cameras will be allowed in the contest area prior to or during the contest.

2. Can I use a sonar, such as a Marcum or Vexilar?
Yes.

3. Can you use a shelter?
No shelters or windbreaks of any kind can be used.  You must be in view from all sides during the contest.

4. What time does the contest end?
At 3:00pm a canon will go off ending the contest. You must be in line by 3:00pm to register a fish. Remember- Fish must be brought to the weigh-in tent immediately when caught and alive. Dead or frozen fish will be ineligible. There will be tournament bags available to help keep your fish alive at the weigh-in area and through out the contest area.

5. Can I use Reel Weeds?
Maybe.  Holes are all pre-drilled and augers are not allowed.  Holes are spaced 15 feet apart.  If you can figure out a way to use them in the hole your fishing in, then yes, you can use weeds.

6. Is there stuff to do before the contest?
Yes. Starting at 9am you can roam around and survey the area, visit our sponsors booths, see product demonstrations, grab a bite to eat or drink.

7. Do you have bait on the ice?
No. You must bring your own bait. If you stop at Mike's Bait on 8 and purchase bait on the day of the contest, your name will be entered for a chance to win 1 of 5 $100 cash prizes.

8. Can I fish 2 holes?
Yes. You need to purchase a ticket for each hole. 1 line per hole, 2 holes max. Both tickets must be in view.

9. Is there going to be beer for sale?
Yes. We ask that you purchase your beer at the event. The Forest Lake VFW will be selling beer at the event for a reasonable price and the money made will help vets in need.  Plus you won't even have to leave your hole! There will be people pulling beer sleds around.

10. Can I bring my own beer, food or pop?
Yes.  But...Keep in mind, this is a huge fundraiser for groups such as the Forest Lake VFW, Forest Lake American Legion and the Lions, so we ask that you please do your best to patronize these organizations as they do a lot to make our community a better place.

11. Can I buy my Fishapalooza event tickets the day of the event?
Yes. Tickets will be available on the ice, but be sure to get there early.  The lines can be quite long.  Buy your tickets online or at one of the local retailers early and avoid the lines at the lake.

12. I got my ticket ahead of time online. When I get to the lake on the day of the event, do I need to check in?
Yes. Everyone needs to go through a security bucket check at the main South West entrance.

13.  Where are "Will Call" tickets?
The Will Call is located next to the ticket sales tent in the center of the contest area.

14. Are ticket available the day of the contest?
Yes.  Tickets can be purchase at Mike's Bait on 8, and Frankie's Bait and Marine on and before the day of the contest. Tickets will also be available on the ice at the ticket sales tent on the west side of the contest area.

15. Can I use a tip-up?
Yes

16. Where can I park?
We have a parking area at Running Aces Harness Park Just off the corner of I35 and Hwy 97. We also have parking at Maranatha Church on Forest Blvd off of Hwy 61, north of the Forest Lake. There is also limited parking at the Forest Lake VFW, and paid parking at the Forest Lake American Legion.

17. Does this contest raise money for charity?
Yes!  The Forest Lake VFW post 4210 is involved with many charities such as, local food shelves, Vet transportation, services and medical help, and Jackets for Children to name a few.  They also help out Youth organizations such as the Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts as well as Youth sports programs.
